Step inside this hotel and you'll feel just like a VIP. The lobby is breathtaking. We're talking gleaming marble, indoor palm trees and floor-to-ceiling glass walls. It's an impressive introduction, that's for sure. But then the Natura Palace is one impressive hotel.

The reception area leads out onto the sun terrace and swimming pools. Offering up eye-popping sea views, it's the perfect spot to catch some rays. Simply pick up one of the free pool towels, pull up a sun lounger and laze the day away in the warm sunshine. Or perhaps slide into the glamorous whirlpool and let the bubbles work their magic.

When you're ready to step it up a gear, there's plenty in the way of facilities including tennis courts, a gym and a diving school. But if that sounds too much like hard work, don't worry - there's a spa where you can spoil yourself rotten with mud treatments, massages and saunas.

If you've got the kids in tow, there's plenty to keep them occupied, too. Cue a children's pool, playground and a hotel-run kids' club for 4-12 year olds.

As to the food, you can take your pick from buffets piled high with mouth-watering dishes. Plus, there's show cooking here so you can have eggs and omelette made to order at breakfast. And once a week the hotel hosts a special gala buffet, too.

What about the location? Well, the Natura Palace is set in a quiet spot along Playa Blanca's seafront promenade – perfect if you just want to get away from it all. The resort centre is around three kilometres away and the nearest beach is down at Playa Flamingo, about a fifteen to twenty minute walk from the hotel.

And the rooms? Modern and minimalist, they come complete with things like satellite TVs, mini bars and air-conditioning. And, as the hotel is shaped like a horseshoe, most of the rooms look out towards the sea. What more could you ask for?

Just returned from a great week at the natura palace. Cannot fault the hotel in any aspect food, cleanliness, staff, layout were all excellent . Room were spacious well equipped and a great sea view. Admittedly the hotel is a little distant from playa... more on this review
